Update on the Port Townsend Event July 19-20.

We Flew a total of 151 Young Eagles in the two day event. Marilyn Hoeft flew her 100th Young Eagle over the weekend.  A special "Congratulations" to her and best wishes for her airplane!

Also, this had the most "nationwide" flavor of any of our events.  We had kids from: Branson, Missouri;  Kailua-Kona, Hawaii;  Orlando, Florida;  Dutch Harbor and Juneau, Alaska;  Portland, Oregon;  Santa Fe, New Mexico;  Las Vegas, Nevada;  and besides the Olympic and Kitsap Peninsulas, we also had Washingtonians from Everett, Puyallup, Tacoma, Washougal, and Bellingham.  A great time was had by all!

N987MM Ready to Fly

Need a pilot and a passengert.

Home built project by Gene Rimov.

Walk around

A vital part of the flying experience is the condition of the aircaft. Here pilot and Young Eagle examine all parts of the plane before flying.

Young Pilot

I'm ready, where is my pilot? I don't think I'm ready for the SOLO!

Pilot Peter Bahsen

Young Eagles after their flight. Even the father when on this one. Great Fun was had by all 4.

Pilot Jack Brown

Jack and YOUNG EAGLE who was now an official young pilot in training

Pilot Ken Brown

Two ready to explore the wild blue younder. This little gal did most of the flying and held attitude and direction like a pro. She even set up the landing with little help. Wonder what the pilot was doing all the time.

Pilot Gene Rimov

Two place home build airplanes are fun to fly as well as build. Gene instructs the Young Eagle on all the right ways to get in and out, as well as what everything does.
