Challenger II

This  confusing picture is of the project as it stands today (along with the special lift I built for it).  Hard to get a good shot when it's just a jumble of tubing.

Status:  Moving forward very, very slowly.  Wing ribs have been installed and aligned, engine is temporarily mounted, along with 3-blade prop.  Brakes are assembled and installed, and fiberglass gear legs are on.  Now in the process of mounting hinges for control surfaces.  When that is done, frame for door panels will be put on and construction of instrument panel will begin.  Nose cone will require some fiberglass work, so that will begin later.  Will be attending Spencer Aircraft's 2-day fabric covering course on 10/27 and 10/28.  Still hope to have the little plane flying by mid-summer 2008.
