Port Angeles
resident Carroll B. "Jeep" Larson Jr. died of injuries received in a private
aircraft crash in Sequim. He was 68.
He was born in Boston to Dr. Carroll B. and Nadine West (Townsend) Larson.
In 1963, he received a bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa.
He married Emily Evans in La Jolla, Calif., on Nov. 27, 1965,
Mr. Larson was a Vietnam veteran who rose to the rank of lieutenant commander in
the Navy.
He also was a retired pilot for Northwest Airlines.
In addition to his wife, survivors include son and daughter-in-law Samuel T. and
Lydia Larson of Seattle; daughter and son-in-law Jill I. and Sean Mordhorst of
Jacksonville, Fla.; brothers and sisters-in-law John W. and Martha Larson of
Tallahassee, Fla., and C. Jeffrey and Michelle Larson of Iowa City, Iowa; sister
Lori F. Larson of Staughton, Wis.; and two grandchildren.
Services: Friday, Jan. 15, 1 p.m., funeral in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 510
E. Park Ave., Port Angeles. The Rev. Gail Wheatley will officiate.
Reception to
follow at the family residence.
